  Who runs the Irving Basketball Association?

Player fee is $80.00 per player. This fee also includes an annual membership to the Drive Nation Facility.
Your player fee goes towards gym space, game officials, limited medical insurance, and the association’s business expenses.
Parents are also responsible for up to $35.00 in team uniforms. Your coach is responsible for obtaining your teams uniform.

The Irving Basketball Association is managed by parent volunteers who are elected to executive board and commissioner positions. Their role is to follow and uphold the by-laws of the association. Third grade through Eight grade boys and girls, teams will be formed by grade and gender. Teams will be grade based instead of age based, players may only play up with Head Coach Approval. Teams will also be separated out by gender and we will work to ensure all players will be placed on a team. The league will need a copy of birth certificate and school report card.

Practice sites and times will not be assigned until after November 20, 2016. Practice should begin in December. Teams will practice twice a week for no longer than 1 hour during each practice.

Games will be scheduled and posted on the website two weeks prior to the 1st scheduled games and will be played at Drive Nation.

The Irving Basketball Association is co-sponsored association with the City of Irving's athletic department. For more than 30 years the IBA has worked to promote physical, mental, and moral development for young athletes in Irving. Each year our organization works with hundreds of children teaching them the art of basketball, teamwork, and life long skills.
